The Fair Work Commission has handed down its Annual Wage Review decision, deciding to increase the minimum wages in all modern awards by 4.75%.

The increase will apply from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2026 and information about the decision can be found here: [Annual Wage Review 2026 | Fair Work Commission](https://www.fwc.gov.au/hearings-decisions/major-cases/annual-wage-reviews/annual-wage-review-2026).

What this means for employers:

- Businesses covered by modern awards will need to review and update pay rates to ensure compliance from the effective date.
- Employers should also review:
    - allowances
    - loadings and penalty rates
    - salaried arrangements and annualised wage agreements
    - payroll systems and templates.
