  Last week, the **Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry** Board joined the **Launceston Chamber of Commerce** Board for dinner.  
  
We discussed a range of issues affecting businesses in Northern Tasmania, including the recent closure of Boag's and what comes next for the region.  
  
While the closure has been disappointing, it was encouraging to hear a sense of optimism about the future and the opportunities ahead.  
  
Thank you to the Launceston Chamber Board and CEO [**Alina Bain**](https://www.linkedin.com/in/alina-bain-0a5bb341/), and to **Peppers Silo Hotel** Grain of the Silos team for their hospitality. We look forward to continued collaboration on the issues that matter to businesses across Tasmania.
