The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has secured a win for local business, with the Tasmanian Government signing a new Business–Government Charter which commits to contracting with local businesses, paying invoices within 14 days and acting as a model litigant in any contractual disputes.

The Charter was signed today by Treasurer, the Hon. Eric Abetz, and TCCI Chair Becher Townshend. It will sit alongside the Government’s Buy Local policy and forms part of TCCI’s broader Vision 2028 agenda to strengthen private sector investment and jobs in Tasmania.
