  Knowing when and how to end employment is one of the most challenging parts of running a business. Many employers either act too quickly and expose themselves to risk or avoid the decision altogether and carry underperformance for far too long.

This session provides a clear, practical guide to managing the end of employment, with a focus on small business obligations under the Small Business Fair Dismissal Code.

We’ll cover how to recognise when termination may be appropriate, the steps to follow to ensure the process is fair and defensible, and the common mistakes that lead to disputes or claims.
