The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the voice of business in Tasmania and is calling for strong leadership on the big issues that Tasmania is facing.
TCCI CEO, Michael Bailey, said a speech by Dean Winder yesterday showed that Labor was listening to the concerns of the business community.
"The business community wants to see certainty, stability, and plans for how to tackle the big issues affecting Tasmania," Mr Bailey said.
"Dean's speech was a step in the right direction and shows that Labor is listening. Business conditions are tough and the best thing our politicians can do right now is look at how they can work together to books business confidence, support investment, cut red take and grow the workforce.
"We would like to see MPs working cooperatively on a range of issues such as the cost of doing business, the cost of living, housing and unlocking the billions of dollars ready to be invested in our renewable energy sector."
