The Tasmanian Chamber of Commerce has called on the State and Federal Government, to work with Bell Bay Aluminium to ensure their continued long-term operation.
“Manufacturing around the country is under pressure from overseas imports and it is critical we maintain our sovereign manufacturing capacity,” Mr Bailey said.
“This is even more important, given there are some 550 jobs at risk in Bell Bay.”
