Sunsetting zombie agreements

Any Enterprise Agreement that was made before 2010 is classified as a zombie agreement. Any agreement on list of zombie agreements will automatically terminate on 7 December 2023 unless an extension is applied for and approved by Fair Work.

If your employees are covered under this agreement, you must provide written notice to all employees covered by the agreement on or before 6 June 2023 advising them that they are covered by a zombie agreement and the date of termination or extension.

Paid Family and Domestic Violence leave

Paid Family and Domestic Violence leave came into effect for businesses with more than 15 employees on 1 February. From 1 August businesses with less than 15 employees also have to provide this to their employees.
